Our Christmas tree is up. No, I didn’t put it up or decorate it. There are some things that you shouldn’t let me do. Slow and steady over the last week, more and more presents have found there way under the tree. My youngest daughter is excited to show anyone her present under the tree. I do not know what it is with kids and Christmas. Alright, maybe I do, but they have so much excitement for the gift. I saw this commercial and loved this child like perspective:
This might just be a commercial but it carries an enormous truth for us as Christians. How gracious God has been to us, sending His one and only Son to dwell among us, live, and die for us. We have received the greatest gift, haven’t we? Is it possible to act with the same anticipation, as this little child, and share this magnificent gift to someone else?
Isaiah 9:6
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
